NAS Marketplace OEM Warranty for Western Digital and Seagate Hard Drives
Warranty Provider: This OEM warranty for Western Digital and Seagate hard drives (“Product”) is provided by NAS Marketplace, which is the seller of the Product, not by Western Digital, Seagate, or any other entity.
Warranty Period: The warranty period for the Product sold by NAS Marketplace under OEM conditions is limited to a period of 5 years for Seagate Exos and WD Ultrastar series, and a period of 3 years for others, from the date of purchase by the original end-user purchaser. The warranty period is not extendable regardless of any reconditioning or repair of the Product.
Coverage: This warranty covers only defects in materials and workmanship of the Product.
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:
- Problems that result from external causes such as accident, abuse, or misuse.
- Usage that is not in accordance with Product instructions.
- Products with missing or altered serial numbers.
- Products which have been modified or serviced by anyone other than NAS Marketplace or an authorized service provider.
Remedies: NAS Marketplace will repair, replace, or refund (at NAS Marketplace’s choice) any defective Product. Replacement may be with a reconditioned unit of the same type rather than a new one. Any product that has either been repaired or replaced will be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period or for 90 days from the date of return shipment, whichever is longer.
Limitations: This warranty replaces all other warranties for the Product and is the sole warranty provided by NAS Marketplace. Any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty.
Claim Process: To obtain warranty service, you must contact NAS Marketplace support within the warranty period to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you. Proof of purchase may be required to verify eligibility.
Limitation of Liability: NAS Marketplace shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Product, even if NAS Marketplace has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
